At Nippon Viajero, tamales are more than food — they are tradition, memory, and community wrapped in corn masa.
Each tamal is handmade using traditional Mexican techniques, generously filled, wrapped, and steamed in small batches. Naturally gluten free, our tamales are crafted with care and shipped frozen throughout Japan so you can bring a piece of Mexico into your home.
We currently offer our classic Pork Tamales Rojos and a plant-based Vegan Tamales (Calabacitas en Salsa Verde), so everyone at the table can share in the experience.

About Nippon Viajero Tamales
Nippon Viajero has offered authentic Mexican tamales since 2019. Offering an authentic recipe that uses mexican and japanese ingredients. Our tamales are naturally gluten free. We offer vegan version and our masa is made from white corn masa, rice oil, and salt making them a nutritional part of any diet!

Pre-Order & Production Schedule
We prepare tamales intentionally and in limited batches.
- Pre-orders are open now through March 14, 2026
- Production begins the week of March 18, 2026
- Shipping will begin from *March 23, 2026 *subject to change
Shipping dates may shift slightly depending on order volume. As soon as your tamales are ready to leave our kitchen, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information.
Shipping & Storage Information
- Available for delivery throughout Japan
- Shipped frozen via Yamato Cool Takkyubin (着払い / shipping fee paid upon delivery)
- Shipping cost is not included in product price
- Tamales can be stored frozen for up to 6 months
- Heating instructions are included with every order
Because this is a perishable food item, we kindly ask that you monitor your delivery date carefully. Once shipped, it becomes the customer’s responsibility to receive the package. If multiple delivery attempts are missed, Yamato may dispose of the package due to food safety regulations, as frozen storage is not available.
At this time, we are unable to offer refunds.
