In this hands-on Taco class, Vanessa Culinary Instructor will show you just how easy it is to make delicious tacos from scratch at home. Vanessa will guide you through making Salsas, Tinga de Pollo (chicken tinga), guacamole, and of course your own handmade blue or white corn tortillas. Learn the secrets behind constructing the perfect taco at home so the next time you throw a fiesta,  you can pull it off like a pro.

Workshop Menu

  • Tortillas: Hand-made corn tortillas.
  • Taco Filling: Tinga – shredded chicken in a smoky chipotle and tomato sauce.
  • Salsas: Pico de gallo – made from chili peppers, herbs, and spices.
  • Guacamole: A traditional Mexican dip with herbs and spices.
  • Agua de Jamaica: Hibiscus tea.

Vanessa shared her knowledge of Mexican cooking in such an approachable way and generously explained about technique, how the dishes are traditionally prepared and how we can adjust them to what we can get in Japan. Really appreciated the time and effort it must’ve taken to arrange everything and give the participants an authentic and enjoyable experience. Looking forward to recreating the dishes at home, and of course, her future workshops!
